Holy Hearth Jarrah Timber Marian Plaque.

This Jarrah Timber plaque isn't just a piece of wood, it's a labour of love, handcrafted right here in my little workshop in Western Australia. It's Jarrah, you see, a timber as strong and beautiful as our faith. And with the gold and rose gold leaf, well, it's like a little piece of heaven shining right in your home.
Dimensions: 13cm wide x 19.5cm tall x 2cm deep
I've used premium Jarrah timber for this one, a wood known for its rich colour and how well it lasts. It's not the easiest wood to work with, mind you, but that's what makes it so special. A bit like our journey of faith, wouldn't you say?
The Marian cross and those lovely roses? That's all hand-applied gold and rose gold leaf, done with a steady hand and a prayerful heart. I've finished the front and sides with a good coat of varnish to protect it, and the back is sealed with beeswax, just like the old days.
I went with a classic shield shape for this plaque, a symbol of protection and strength. In the centre, you've got the Marian cross, shining bright with gold leaf. And on either side, those roses, in rose gold, a reminder of Mary's purity and love. It's a simple design, but it speaks volumes.
